Privacy Policy

Last updated April 2026

whirr runs entirely on your Mac. The app does not transmit your clipboard contents, Claude Code sessions, or any other personal data to any server. The short version: nothing leaves your device.

What stays on your device

Clipboard history, keyboard-shortcut preferences, and HUD activity are stored locally in your user library. None of it is uploaded.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no analytics, no telemetry, and no account system. The Mac App Store reports anonymous install counts to us; that is the only signal we receive.

Crash reports

If you opt in via macOS settings, Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us through the Mac App Store. You can opt out at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics.
