Reporting a bug
Please include:
- Your macOS version and Mac model
- The version of whirr (visible in the menu bar → About)
- Steps to reproduce the issue
- A screenshot or screen recording if the issue is visual
Common questions
whirr isn’t showing activity from Claude or Codex. Make sure Claude or Codex is running and that whirr has the permissions it asks for on first launch. Quitting and relaunching whirr from the menu bar usually resolves transient hookup issues.
The HUD overlaps something on screen. whirr hangs under the notch on Macs that have one. If you’re on a Mac without a notch, the pill anchors to the top center of the primary display. Drag the menu bar icon’s position via System Settings if you need to relocate it.
How do I uninstall? Quit whirr from its menu bar icon, then drag the app from /Applications to the Trash. No background processes are left behind.
